i went to the doctor today. waited for about a half hour in the waiting room, then when they called me, i waited for at least another 15 minutes in the room before my doctor came in. he took a look at my knee and said that yes, i definitely do need an mri to find out what's wrong and what we can do. he tells me to wait and he'll go schedule it. 20 or 30 minutes later the nurse comes back in and hands me a prescription and a doctor's order thing. she says my insurance won't pay for the mri i need until after i've gone to the hospital for x-rays and get a prescription for an anti-inflamory pain releiver for my knee. fine. so i drive down the hospital in rush hour traffic and go in there. that involves another 30 to 45 minutes of waiting. all for a damn x-ray that takes like 3 minutes, tops. then home again in still slightly rush hour traffic. i got prescription filled for the pain meds. i'm reading through the warnings and stuff and what do i see. i'm not supposed to combine it with some of the other stuff i'm taking. great. and it was too late to call the doctor about it then, so i'm calling him tomorrow to see if i can even take it. oh, and the insurance doesn't cover the $70 pain meds. *growls* stupidness

on a better note, ben and i did go to dinner tonight. that was good. we hung out afterwards, even better. watched some ultimate fighter *grins* always fun.
