pretty good day
It's finally Spring Break! About time! I'm so ready for this break. School today was pretty much pointless, but I figure, someday has to be the last, might as well be now. It was pretty much alright though. Mrs. Berwanger actually liked my piece. She said it was very powerful and that I succeeded in showing not telling. *happies* It's nice to get a compliment from her. She doesn't readily hand them out. Tonight at tkd was fun. I suggested we spar, and we did. There were only 6 of us there, including Miss O'donald. So we sparred, and then the rest of the class was devoted to rape prevention and what to do if someone attacks you more or less in that way. Mitch was the only guy in the class, and he didn't really mind. So we talked about what kind of stuff you can do and how you should scream and stuff. And we talked about how even if it's technically against the law, the courts always rule in favor of the woman, so it's okay. And we talked about how if it's happened to you, it's not your fault, it's the fault of the sick freak who did i, because anyone who would do that has severe problems. Although we didn't do much in the way of physical activity tonight other than spar, I'm really glad I went. Ben came over tonight after tkd. He had practice. But while he was over we played hand and foot with my parents. They eventually got tired and went to bed, so we went downstairs and watched TV. He had to be home by 11:30. He's so sweet, always worrying about whether or not I'm comfortable. And I'm feeling so much more confident in the power of the word "no". I haven't felt the need to use it with force, but I'm confident that if I did, it would actually work. It's kinda nice. In fact, it's very nice. Anyways, that's all for now, besides restating that I'm so glad it's break. Ciao!
